The Mundorf MCap ZN is made of tin foil. High quality polypropylene foil coupled with tin plating is manufactured into a transparent sounding cap. The tin is significantly reducing microphonic effects by reducing the movement of the foil. The effect, simiar to what is known from vacuum-impregnated inductors, is providing more threedimensional transparency. The higher conductivity of the metal foil results in a low loss angle (about 10 times lower than what is seen with MKP capacitors. Wherever small signals are being processed the Mcap-ZN is a good choice.
